“ Ill start by saying that I chose this restaurant for a date night because of the restaurants responses to the negative reviews. The responses werent mean, they were clear and they brought the receipts, literally and figuratively. When we arrived for our reservation, I was greeted by my name which was a first and immediately gives the vibe that Im not just a number. The best way I can describe the dining area is cozy. Its not flashy or over the top, and welcoming. The service was excellent, everyone seemed pleasant and attentive. The food was very good, my steak was a perfect medium rare and well seasoned. If I had to say anything could be better, the French Onion soup was a little peppery, but I wouldnt say it was bad. Most of the time that type of soup is salt heavy, so I didnt mind the pepper. Id definitely recommend this place and I look forward to going again. ”
“ We found this place last Saturday by chance, and Im glad we did. Im from NYC, so I was expecting it to be just good. Wow! I was blown away! Delicious stuffed portobello mushroomso unique! And my pork chop specialthick, moist and sweet. It was one of if not the best chops that Ive ever had. My mom had a ribeyecooked perfectly and very flavorful. Dessert was also delicious. All the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Mind you, its a bit pricey, but you certainly get what you pay for. I cant wait to be in the South Jersey area again and treat myself. Well done, Kunkels! N.B. Its BYOB. ”
“ My husband and I went to Kunkels for the 1st time. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary. From beginning to end we were so pleased with everything! Our server, Brynn, was so attentive! She was always one step ahead of us. The food was top notch. We got the ahi tuna crostini, French onion soup and beef and vegetable soup to start. I got the new york strip steak with added mushrooms and my husband got the pork chop special. The food was cooked perfectly, very big portion and absolutely delicious! Unfortunately, we didnt leave room for dessert. We cant wait to go back. A Brynn, you are the best waitress we have had in quite a while. Thank you for making our night out perfect. ”
“ Came here for our 5yr anniversary as we wanted to try something new. Needless to say we were blown away and not just with the food , but the service also. Our server Denise was always checking on us and took the time to explain everything on the menu with great recommendations! The salmon is amazing and the pork chop too. The food feels home cooked with extra love. We will be returning ASAP! ”

“ Went to Kunkels today with my mom, and wow! This place is something special. Theyve been around for 21 years, and you can feel the love and experience in every part of the meal. Our waitress, Denese, was so kind and welcoming, and shared that its a familyowned restaurant. That really stuck with me. Carol was also so sweet, it genuinely felt like we were having dinner with family. The space is quaint, cozy, and beautifully designed. Its the kind of place where you can truly relax and enjoy your food. We started with the baconwrapped scallop, and it was incredible. Creamy, fresh, perfectly grilled, with a dressing that was bright and refreshing. The house salad was also a standout. I tried both the balsamic and roasted red pepper vinaigrettes, and both were bursting with flavor. Definitely homemade, and definitely delicious. For my main, I had the beef bordelaise so tender, meaty, and comforting. Every bite was flavorful and cooked just right. My mom had the honeyglazed pork chop, and it was honestly unforgettable. Super tender, premium cut, perfectly glazed. The kind of dish that makes you close your eyes for a moment and just feel it. The mashed potatoes on the side were creamy, fullbodied, and clearly homemade. Also loved the fried onions! crispy, light, and just the right texture. We finished with the pound cake, and it was the perfect end to the meal. Airy, soft, and just sweet enough. Bonus points for being BYOB, which always makes things feel a little more personal. Kunkels is officially on my list of favorite spots. Amazing food, heartfelt service, and just a beautiful energy all around. Ill definitely be back. ”
“ Had the best meal tonight! Would highly recommend the calamari some of the best Ive ever had! The clams casino, French onion soup, and stuffed mushroom were great. All of the food was well seasoned cooked to perfection. Our steak and lobster was 1010. On top of the delicious food, everyone here was so friendly and nice. Cant wait to come back ”
